Saturday, 28th June - In «Mammoth Country» there is the main place and administrative place of the Yellowstone NP: Mammoth Hot Springs.
The colours
A typical hot spring is immediate with the spring with by the excretion of mineral materials which are in the water and partially deposit as a sinter around the spring. Ever farther the water of the spring flows, becomes the colder it. According to temperature micro-organisms settle like algae and bacteria in it (for example, Cyanobakterien or Thermus aquaticus). The colour which is caused by many of such microorganisms changes from pale yellow about orange too dark green.
