«My name is Faraj Adnan Hassan Husein. It was during the Intifada and there was curfewban. My friend Bassam threw a stone by an open window. And a soldier shot Bassam. Killed him. I wanted to tear this soldier in pieces. Wanted to shoot him or blow up him, to take revenge for Bassams death [...] Of course have I thrown stones! Everybody should do this! Stones have freed almost the half of Palestine in the Intifada! These have guns and atom things. Everything we have to defend us is a stone.
Are the checkpoints to it there to separate the Israelis from the Arabs to humiliate us. I am Arab. As an Arab you can't enter Israel. Saying you: "You are Arab and you remain arab!" They welcome Jews, they welcome Americans. These can go where they want. I can prove that this country belongs to me and I am authorized to build on it! Peace then will be. We will do nothing to the Jews and they will do nothing to us. I have the feeling, the world has changed to the worse. There isn't any peace, only wars and catastrophes. It's pointless to imagining his future or solving problems. Our plans for the future can be never made come true well. The life which we lead doesn't permit us the fulfillment of our dreams.» |
